We are proud to officially announce the launch of the SA POST LAB — the first programme of its kind to be developed and delivered by a recognised professional organisation within South Africa’s Film and Television industry that fully encompasses structured accreditation pathways: Safaits

This is not simply a short course.

It is established as a skills development programme working towards formal alignment within the relevant accreditation standards.

Developed by Safaits in partnership with the The SA FILM Academy and funded by the National Film and Video Foundation, the SA Post Lab establishes a new benchmark for professional training in post-production, on set vfx and digital imaging.

The SA Post Lab is:

Designed to contribute toward nationally recognised credits, in future.

Mapped to relevant occupational pathways within the Film & Television sector.

Positioned to be within the MICT SETA ( Media, Information and Communication Technologies Sector Education and Training Authority )** framework quality standards.

Learning outcomes are measurable and assessed.

Programme delivery follows structured assessment, moderation, and competency validation processes.

This will ensure:

  • National portability of skills.
  • Quality assurance oversight.
  • Recognition within the education and training framework.
  • Clear pathways into employment and further qualifications.
